This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of automotive electrical systems, focusing on diagnosing, repairing, and programming automotive electronics. Students will explore modern electrical systems, their components, and their integration into vehicles. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical skills, essential for anyone seeking to specialize in automotive electrical engineering. By the end of the course, students will be able to diagnose electrical issues, interpret wiring diagrams, perform programming tasks on vehicle modules, and understand the integration of electronic systems in automotive technology.
What you'll learn
Develop a strong foundation in automotive electrical systems and their components.
Understand the working principles of various automotive electronic systems, such as lighting, charging, starting, and sensor systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in automotive systems using modern diagnostic tools.
Master the programming and reprogramming of vehicle control modules.

12V and 24V systems, batteries, charging systems (alternators, regulators), starting systems, basic wiring, fuses and relays, vehicle electrical safety.

- Launch X-431 PRO and Xtool diagnostic platforms
- Automotive multimeters (Fluke 87V or equivalent)
- Pico oscilloscope with automotive probes
- Pressure testers, smoke testers
- Module programmers. KESS V2, K-TAG (with the ECU course module)
- A working fleet of customer vehicles to diagnose
